Foncebadon

6/6/19
Today will be an easy day till the end, when we have a long uphill climb into Foncebadon
We met up with a great mother and daughter who were walking together, we met them a few days ago and they are from the Cape in South Africa. Francis, the mother and I chatted about South Africa for hours as we walked. It was good to catch up first hand, on what’s going on there
Rabanal was our first stop for coffe in the morning, then we later came to the famous Cowboy Bar,  no real reason for it to be famous, other than it’s so out f place here. Bill and I had a beer and caught up with Graham and Maureen  who were not going as far as us today
The climb into Foncebadon was brutal and never ending, and to make things worse, we were trying to out run a storm.
We made it in with no time to spare,it literally started raining as we got to the Albergue, and it doesn’t like good for tomorrow
Was good to see John, he was running this hostel as a volunteer, and broke out the wine the moment we showed up
I helped cook dinner for 18 , had a great community meal, then popped down to.a tiny bar down the dirt road to catch up.
By the time we let the bar at 9.30, it was looking like snow, and really really cold. Oh well

The morning sun on the cathedral as we were leaving today

It’s 5 o’clock somewhere

Coffee break time

Trust me, no one was going in, it was getting really cold

The storm is coming

Up and up and up
