This is a boring little town about 20 km from our ending, but it’s purpose is really a launch pad for the final days walk.

Chilly start to the day

My 8 year old buddy Sebastian’s from Italy, he walked 500 miles with his father carrying a basketball. A great kid, a great father
By 9am we had come to the famous beer bottle bar, thousands of pilgrims had left their mark with a beer bottle over the years, I had been here before but not had a beer, I think I won’t walk this way again, so it’s early, but one for the road won’t hurt, Urg Pilgrim beer really sucks

It had to be done, 9.15am
Four years ago, these trash cans were here and enough of them to complete the entire song, but I thought the song so relevant in my life that I wanted to share what was left,
Thank you John Lennon

Dianne, Brian, Victoria, myself, Kaz, bill, frances and entangled at a picnic lunch together today with 10k to go
Today I was with most of the Camino family who I had met walking and who we all kept pace daily with each other. I sat quietly and looked around at these amazing characters who I had to love, then Dianne played the song “ I would walk 500 miles” on her phone, and I lost it. I became quite emotional as it set in that this was about to end, and we would go our own ways in 24 hours, but I hope we all stay in touch.
