RIBADISO DA CARRETERA

6/14/19
Today was hill after hill, but it was scenic and not busy, after expecting the 100 km club walkers to crowd the place, it seems we have been lucky and have fallen into a hole between groups. It even seems quieter than it did four years ago.
I walked awhile with Kaz again today and I always enjoy the conversation, as we climbed higher on the hill outside of Melide, she calmly said”I hope we can get intimate as soon as we get in today, there are some things I need to get done”
The bridge taking us into Melide

I stumbled a little as my legs went weak, as the blood drained from my knees into my boots, I removed my cap to wipe my sweated brow, took a deep gulp of any available air, and said “ could you repeat that, she said sure “ I hope we can get internet as soon as we get in”
We walked through the big village of Melide at about noon, the trail was confusing as people have added yellow arrows everywhere to get you to follow them to their accommodation, which r some eating place that’s serving Pulpo ( octopus) the local specialty.

Fiat 500     I want it

. The way today

Very little history in this area, nothing to really get excited about, other than to pound out the hills and enjoy the scenery.
Seeing as there is little to write about, I’ll just share snippets of the day, and the little things that I saw walking.
Carretera, our stop for tonight along the River
The path into Melide

Early finish today , so relax in the sun with Azura cheese( local), bread, and lemon cervesa as we waited for the girls
