Woke up to a bitterly cold day, had rained in the night but had stopped by the time we hit the road ay 6:30 am.
It wasn’t the best walk today,
It’s lots of hard pack and not a lot of interesting places to visit, but it was cool and not hard to keep moving. I know what’s ahead and the terrain changes to a more pleasing view, more rolling hills, and easier terrain. I’m struggling a bit as being my second time through, I had expectations, but it’s different and I can’t comprehend. It’s my fault and I need to let the WAY have it’s way. I love being here, I love the WAY and I love that I came back with my friends, but I made assumptions and once again, I was wrong.
How cool is it to learn at my age, when ALL my friends will tell you I know everything, OK most everything. I’m in a good place and my limbs are hanging in there, what more is there.

My bedroom in Villafranca , a few friends but at least it was clean. This building served as a pilgrim hospital for 10 centuries, yes it’s been rebuilt and fixed through the years. ,,,,but think about that.
Tomorrow is a 28 km walk but hilly, we are trying to set ourselves up for a three hour walk into Burgos the following day, make it a short day so we can spend the day there before move on. No rest day as we would like to reserve a day knowing that there are areas ahead that we may need to take a break at, wheather dependant.
if the blog wont scroll down at the end of this, click on OLDER POSTS, to move forward to the next post.
